Who are we?
The Fortis Green Community Allotments Trust is a not-for-profit limited company with charitable objectives, set up by allotment holders and their friends and neighbours to save this lovely green space from the threat of development when Thames Water put the land up for sale in June 2009.
As well as having members, we have a large supporter group drawn from near and far, who took the trouble to sign our e-petition and, in many cases, supported our campaign with donations.
We successfully purchased the land from Thames Water in June 2010. As well as fund-raising among our supporters, we have also benefited from Haringey Council’s Make the Difference Fund and Capital Growth. We're very grateful for everyone's help.
